Andean salt
Andean salt is formed and extracted through natural evaporation in a stream in the heart of a sacred Inca valley (Maras - Cusco). The source of this water is still unknown, but it is a salt rich in minerals acquired on its journey through the sacred mountains of the Cordillera.
The path of this water, source of the salt, runs in a labyrinthine manner through the mountains and through its zigzag course the salt dries due to the sun's rays and forms deposits which the Mara farmers extract and use for their daily food since the Inca Empire.
This product, which you can purchase exclusively through us, comes only from the Andes and is growing in popularity as an alternative to Himalayan salt
