The herbal coating consists of mate tea leaves, mulberry fruit powder, Cassis fistula (blackcurrant), and carrot extract. The overall composition, together with the fruit, tastes sweet and slightly tart. The power of the green plum has been known in Asia since the 3rd century AD.

Regarding the production process, fermentation has a long tradition, even in Europe, and the freshly harvested fruit is fermented in its own juice for at least 30 months. It is then coated with herbs and individually packaged, where a further fermentation takes place. All in all, the scientifically sound production processes release enzymes and microorganisms.
